HISTORICAL BACKGROUND OF PATANDI SECONDARY SCHOOL

Patandi Maalum Secondary School was established in January 2021, marking a significant milestone in the advancement of inclusive education in Tanzania. The school was founded under the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology, with a special focus on providing quality, accessible, and inclusive secondary education to students with disabilities, including those who are deaf, blind, or physically challenged.

Located in Arumeru District, Arusha Region, the school benefits from its close collaboration with Patandi Teachers College, which has long been recognized for its specialization in training teachers in special needs education.
